What information we collect

When you book a call or contact us, we collect:

  • Your name and business name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (required for booking)
  • Booking details (via Cal.com)
  • Any details you share about your business and what you need

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Schedule your call and send confirmation and reminder emails
  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss how we might help
  • Prepare recommendations or proposals for your business
  • Communicate with you about the services you requested

Consent

By booking a call, you agree to be contacted by email and phone about your request.

We do not sell your data

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information stays between us.

Third-party tools

We collect name, email address, and phone number only — no sensitive records, such as medical or financial data, pass through Skyloom. We use tools like Cal.com for scheduling and secure email providers for communication. Booking data (name, email, phone, and appointment details) is processed in Cal.com per their policies. If deposits are used, payments are processed by your chosen payment provider (e.g., Paystack) and are not stored by Skyloom. These tools have their own privacy policies. We choose reputable services and only share the minimum information needed to provide our services.

Onboarding information

If you become a client and complete our onboarding form, we also collect your business details, your answers about your customers and brand, and any files you choose to upload, such as your logo, photos, documents, and customer testimonials. We use this only to build and run your website and services. It is stored in secure tools we control (Google Drive and Notion), is not shared with anyone else, and you keep full ownership of it. We delete or return it on request once our work together ends. Please only upload material you own or have permission to use.

Your rights (POPIA and UK GDPR)

Under South African law (Protection of Personal Information Act), you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to processing of your information

If you are in the United Kingdom, UK GDPR gives you similar rights, including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Data retention

We retain your contact information for up to 24 months from your last interaction with Skyloom, or until you request deletion. Booking data held by third-party tools (such as Cal.com) is subject to their own retention policies.
