Anti-Spam Policy

The short version

We do not send unsolicited bulk email, and we do not allow anyone else to advertise our domains that way either. Every message we send is written for one practice by a person, identifies us plainly, and tells the reader how to make it stop. If you would rather not hear from us, one reply is all it takes and we will not contact you again.

How we contact dental practices

SKYLOOM builds websites and online booking for independent dental practices in South Africa. When we reach out to a practice we have not worked with before:

  • We use business contact details the practice has published publicly, on its own website or in a professional directory.
  • We research that specific practice first, and every message refers to something real and verifiable about it. We do not send the same message to two practices.
  • We send in small numbers, by hand. We do not run bulk campaigns or buy contact lists.
  • Every message says who we are, what we do, and how to stop hearing from us.

What we never do

  • We never buy, rent, harvest or trade email lists.
  • We never send bulk or automated messages to addresses we have not researched.
  • We never disguise who we are, forge headers, or use misleading subject lines.
  • We never continue contacting someone who has asked us not to.
  • We never use our domains, or permit our domains to be used, in unsolicited bulk email.

No one may advertise us through unsolicited messages

This applies to everyone, not only to us. No affiliate, partner, contractor, reseller or third party of any kind is permitted to advertise SKYLOOM, or any domain we operate, in unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or any other unsolicited electronic message. We do not run an affiliate programme, we pay no commissions for referrals generated this way, and we will take action against anyone who does it.

The domains we operate are skyloom-web.com and skyloom-outreach.com. If either appears in an unsolicited bulk message that did not come from us, we want to know about it.

Asking us to stop

Reply to any message and say so. That is enough. You do not need to explain, and you do not need to click anything. We remove the address the same day and keep a record so it is never contacted again by us.

How our email is set up

Our sending domains are authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. We monitor delivery and complaints, and we investigate anything that looks wrong. If a message from us ever appears to be forged or sent without our authorisation, please tell us so we can deal with it.

POPIA

We operate in South Africa and work within the Protection of Personal Information Act. We contact businesses about services relevant to their business, we identify ourselves in every message, we provide a plain way to opt out, and we stop immediately when asked. We do not sell or share the contact details of anyone we approach. Our full Privacy Policy sets out how we handle information.

Reporting a problem

If you have received something from us that you believe breaches this policy, or you have seen one of our domains advertised in unsolicited email, email admin@skyloom-web.com with the message and its full headers. We take it seriously and we will reply.
